How exactly does switching to a Non-Profit plan work?

I hope I'm putting this in the right section, but basically I didn't realize Adobe has NPO plans and i've been at a nonprofit for a while now. I want to switch to the NPO plan but I see I have to do it through techsoup which is pretty inconvenient. Unfortunately I can't really find a tutorial on how it works if I already have an existing CC Plan.

Do I have to cancel my current plan? Does it give the organization a code to activate the NPO plan? Will it only activate on the email used to purchase it?

I don't want to have to make a new account because I have work files in my current cloud.

If someone can walk me through this before I make a payment on techsoup that would be much appreciated.

Yes, our organization is already verified and I can purchase the license on techsoup.

Unfortunately you can't use this to switch to an NPO plan.

then an employee will need to tell you the next step via a reply here, not email.
