I cancelled but Adobe has been charging me for 11 additional months

After other .pdf editors didn't work, in a panic I tried Acrobat unsuccessfuly for a few minutes and then kept looking. I forgot to cancel during the free trial, but I did cancel in the first month of the paid subscription. That cost $20 for one month plus a cancellation fee of $50. I paid $70 for nothing. Or so I thought. Now I have an email in my inbox telling me that my subscription will be renewed soon. When I signed up I used a special purpose bank account that I rarely touch and have never checked the charges on, because I've never had to. I didn't know that I was still being billed. Adobe owes me a refund.

I got my refund, from Adobe. I can't explain the fee but that's what it was. The agent said he's givng me 11 months back, so that means the fee was dropped as well. Something for the headache they gave me. I'd rather not have gone through this, but I'm no longer agnry, at least. I'm still a potential Adobe customer if the need ever comes up.

I browsed the forum and I know now I will told to contact customer support, but I have been in chat with them twice, and both times they were evasive and didn't address the fact that Adobe created my problem. When I persited I got hung up on - the agents left the chat without warning. I was was a tiny bit testy the first time, but I made sure to be very polite the second time. Does anybody with any expeience know how to resolve a problem like mine, where to go to ge actual help?

First and foremost one user posted that you should contact him and he will resolve this. I advice don't contact people on such posts, they are scammers and will scam you, Adobe does not deal in such ways. I have marked that post as spam but wanted to warn you as well.

Now coming to your issue, that should be easily resoluble if you did cancel and paid the cancellation fees then there is no reason to keep charging you. I suggest that talk to the support person and if they don't understand or help ask to be connected to the manager. Keep on escalating until you get someone who understands the facts presented and acts to rectify the wrong charges.

Third time was the charm as they say. It took some hassling with the agent, but he made a "special exception" <cough> and gave me my 11 months refund.

I forgot to thank you for the warning. Thanks.

i'm not sure your problem is as straight-forward as you represent.  to start, $50 cancellation fee is too low (by more than 1/2) for the standard cancellation fee (=1/2 the cost of the remaining months on an annual subscription).

that makes me wonder if you actually subscribed via adobe.com or if you subscribed via a different vendor.
