my free subscription is not working

I have never worked with a subscription, and when I launched the application, it wrote that the trial period is over. What's that supposed to mean? I've never used it and it doesn't work now

    there's nothing easy (eg, you can reformat your hd, reinstall your os and then start a trial) that you can do to correct that on the problematic computer.
