Hi, I am a high school student thinking about subscribing to Adobe Cloud as a student for the summer, as my school's provided accounts only work on school computers.

I was considering choosing the annual-pay-monthly option, using it for the summer, and then paying the cancellation fee as it may be chaper than finishing out the year. My question is, if I were only to use 3 months of the 19.99 reduced charge year, and then return to the account after some time- say, 18 months later- could I resume the remaining 9 months of the 19.99 charge, or would I immediatly be asked to pay 34.99 going forwards?

no, you cannot pause a plan.  ie, if you start, cancel and then want to resume, you would need to start a new account and not resume the previous one.

and the penalty for early cancellation = 1/2 the cost of the remaining months, ie, if you cancel after 3 months, you would owe 1/2 x 9 months fee.
