Changing the country means updating the payment method as the country is attached to the payment.
However, if support advises to cancel and resubscribe, there are several things that are happening:
- You may be asked to pay early termination fee -- Customer support can waive that for such cases like yours.
- You will loose unused credits, as they are forfeit with a cancel -- Customer support can add replacement credits to the new subscription.
- You will have a new annual subscription with a new anniversary date and there is nothing that customer support can do about this.
So what you need to do is:
- Trying to update your payment method. If that fails...
- ...Contact Customer Care and ask them to cancel and waive early termination fee and to get a new equivalent subscription with replacement credits for the ones that get lost with the cancel. If that fails...
- ...ask to speak to a supervisor and have him act on your behalf. If that fails...
- ...post again here with your case number and we will escalate the case.
