Request for Refund and Help with Unfair Subscription Renewal
On November 24, 2023, I decided to pay for an annual Adobe Creative Cloud student subscription during Black Friday. On November 24, 2024, I wanted to cancel my subscription since I no longer plan to use it. HOWEVER, I noticed that Adobe had already sent me a new invoice for €35.
Not wanting to pay this amount for a subscription I don’t plan to use, I thought a refund might be possible. But once again, no. I can only cancel my subscription without additional costs, but I still have to pay the invoice.
Since it was Sunday and I couldn’t contact customer support by phone, I decided to wait three days before deciding what to do (cancel the subscription and lose €35? Or wait to contact customer support?). It seemed more sensible to contact customer support.
HOWEVER, what do I see? Three days after Adobe's billing, I’m told that if I cancel my annual subscription now—JUST 3 DAYS AFTER RENEWING my annual subscription—I’ll have to pay €200 in cancellation fees!
So, I politely ask: is it possible to refund my €35 and cancel the subscription without additional charges? I feel that I shouldn’t be penalized for just 3 days of waiting. As a student with limited means, I kindly ask for your understanding.
