Question

The perfect Adobe Plan doesn't exist, but it should

I am a graphic designer. I do not need access to 43 desktop apps and 28 web apps, but I do want access to the following programs:

Desktop:

  • Acrobat Pro
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Lightroom
  • Media Encoder
  • Photoshop
  • Premiere Pro

Website:

  • Creative Cloud (Library)
  • Fonts
  • Portfolio

I don't even need Adobe Cloud storage.

However, can I have more than one plan active at a time? Can I pick the programs that work for me, and can I pay yearly (upfront) for them? As of August 9th, 2024, Adobe does not show any plans that encompass this general assortment of their most useful desktop apps for my workflow.

Adobe, I understand the desire to push for the highest profit margins, but making users buy the "Everything" plan because a custom plan or a sensible prepackaged plan for general designers hasn't been put together is souring my Adobe experience as a long-time customer.

I'd love to be proven wrong here, but I don't see Adobe offering the perfect plan for me. We should all keep in mind that there are plenty of alternative programs by other companies now that compete with nearly all Adobe's most used apps—some even offered for free.

If there is something I'm missing here, please feel free to share. Thank you.
