I cant understand that Adobe still has the annual plan as a part of their ecosystem, and I am afraid that this will be a problem when I want to cancel my subscription.
I only pray that all the software still works after I cancel the subscriptions, but I will of course dont recieve any updates, and all the AI and free pictures will not be available.
But, if my installed software, already downloaded, would stop working, that would be a major problem.
Hopefully Adobe has learned....

as soon as you cancel, or your subscription otherwise ends, you will no longer be able to open/use adobe's subscription software.

That's not how subscriptions work.
When you cancel your subscription, the software stops working.

After you cancel your Creative Cloud subscription, you can no longer access your Creative Cloud applications, nor most of the services included in your paid Creative Cloud subscription.

To avoid the 50% early termination fee, wait until your 12th month of service to cancel.
Your service will stop, and you'll have no further obligation to Adobe.
If you don't need an annual subscription, convert your service to the Monthly plan. It costs slightly more per month, but you can cancel anytime without a penalty fee.

subtle correction to @Nancy OShea's post. to avoid a cancellation fee wait until your last payment (assuming you're paying monthly) is received. if paid annually, there's no penalty (and no refund) for early cancellation.
