Turns out I have 2 Adobe accounts (seperate email addresses). One is active and the other inactive. installed Ceative Cloud on new computer. The inactive account is interfering with opening my current paid active account. My question is: if I delete the inactive account, could this effect my current active account?

It shouldn't, but you may want to contact Adobe Support about that (Make sure to sign in to your Adobe account first and allow popups and cookies on your browser. You may not be able to see the chat window if using a VPN.):
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen will automatically open the chat window.
Type "Agent" in the chat box to bypass the chatbot and be connected to a person.

sign out of you cc desktop app and then re-sign in using the active account adobe id.
