When does my plan end?

Because I now work for an education intstitution, I have access to a cheaper deal for Adobe DC. I would therefore like to cancel my plan, but as I gather from reading this page https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html I will have to pay until my annual plan is up. But how do I know whan my annual plan is up? Can I cancel now anyway and switch when my annual plan is up but continue using Adobe DC as I'm paying for it anyway or do I have to make a note of the date (though I would have to know when that date is) and cancel just before that date? Thanks!
