When to cancel subscription not to get charged cancellation fee?

Hi, my student subscription ends in June this year - the last payment comes out on the 3rd June.

I don't want to continue with subscription as from June I will be using the software only for work purposes and my work provides a license for all Adobe programs.

When should I cancel my subscription?

When I try to do it now it I get an information that I'll be charged above 1000 dkk (I'm based in Denmark) for ending it too early. I worry that if I wait for 3rd June it will want to give me some other penalty for ending the subscription. I would love to get more guidance on this as for some reason the support chat from Adobe is not working.

Kind regards,

Nina

after your final payment is received by adobe (which will be a few days after june 3rd).

make sure you're aware of the cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

for info on how to cancel your subscription, this page describes the few steps involved, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html

if you want to cancel but are unable to follow the steps described in the "how to cancel page", contact adobe support.

there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies, and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true

You can end your subscription free of a cancellation fee anytime during the last month of your subscription. But please note also: the early termination fee is half of the remaining due, so it's cheaper to cancel now, than to wait until the last month, if you do not need the software any more. In other words, not cancelling now will cost you over 2.000dkk in total, if the early termination fee is over 1.000dkk.
