I'm a hobbyist and I appreciate that Lightroom is a great product and among the best ones I have ever used (even though the newest version is a few steps backwards in term of useability). However, it is a commonplace that subscription services are using flexible, monthly rolling contracts that I can cancel/renew any time without penalty (Netflix, Prime, etc). When will Adobe arrive to the 21st century and respect their users instead of prisoning them in annual contracts?
SOME programs are available Monthly https://community.adobe.com/t5/Get-Started/Being-charged-for-a-full-year-when-i-m-on-month-to-month/td-p/10248222 - links and pictures

adobe has monthly subscriptions with no annual commitment.
but like almost everyone else they offer a lower monthly cost for an annual commitment.

There are no monthly plans. It's really annoying that you force people to subscribe to year when they need to use Lightroom 3-4 times per year and threating them with penalties for breaking the subscription. You still try to charge my credit card everyday and don't let me cancel the plan. I won't pay and won't pay any penalties. If you continue to treat customers this way, they will switch to cracked versions of Ligtroom and PS.
And all you need is a simple solution for this type of customers who rarely use your applications - a subscription for 10 runs of Lightroom and PS, e.g. for $10, means $1 for 1 use

again, there are monthly plans. not all plans have monthly offerings but, for example, the 3rd plan listed (acrobat) has a monthly plan
