AA Pro No Auto Updates?

Enthusiast ,
Apr 24, 2025 Apr 24, 2025

I discovered this morning several CC app updates. However, AA Pro was not one of these. I confirmed the Auto update is checked. I had to run update manually. Is AAP different from the other CC apps where it updates seperately?

I have noticied AAP Team does an excellent job in documenting the changes they make.

This is a minor inconvience, just curious why the app does not show when an update is released.

Hi @westdr1dw

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your observation.

The update should ideally be available in the Creative Cloud Desktop app. However, we do release updates that are considered optional. You can find more information about these optional updates on our release notes help page: https://adobe.ly/42JGA7N. Typically, optional updates do not install automatically.

I understand that my previous comments may not fully address your question. I will have our product team review this internally. If we have any further questions or need additional information or logs, please let me know if it is okay to reach out to you.

Thank you for your support.

Yes, you may contact me. I do not think it was an optional update. I seen this morning a post where an update has been released. I was surprised when I seen the majority of CC apps had updates pending. However, AAP was not in this group. I opened AAP Help check for updates and it found it. As I stated this is minor inconvience and not a show stopper.

I have been using AAP for several years. When I had downloaded a PDF which was wonky and OCR failed to work. Yes, the settings were correct. A remedy was running through Distiller which almost always fixed the issue. Now I have to save as a TIF file and Combine. Again not a show stopper, a minor inconvience.

The documentation has been awesome though.

Hello @westdr1dw

I hope you're doing well. We apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20997. Planned update: December 9, 2025. Check for any pending updates by navigating to Menu > Help> Check for Updates. Install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

Let us know if you experience any issues.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hello AnandSri;

I have the latest version. However, AA Pro does not usually show update availability like the other CC apps. Not a problem though since it is too easy to look for updates.

One annoyance though is reading and downloading PDF on the web. For whatever reason it asks me to subscribe. I already am subscribed. Thanks
