Acrobat 9 Pro Extended- won't update

This maybe an old ancient question, but here is goes:

I am running Acrobat 9 Pro Extended in Windows 7 Pro, 64 Bit. I have had Acrobat 9 Pro Extended since 2011 and think it the best version of Acrobat. I especially like it's ability to take 3D CAD files and incorporate them into an Acrobat document that anyone running any modern version of Acrobat Reader can see the 3D CAD images and manipulate them as one would in a 3D CAD program, with some basic tools for measurements.

I have downloaded all of the updates. They are either in msp format. Updates are from 9.11 to 9.45.

When I click on these updates, they open as any update file would. However I get an error message, which says:

The upgrade patch cannot be installed by Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct patch to be upgraded/

I have tried; AcrobatUpd911_all_incr.msp, which seems to be the earliest update, A previous post on updating Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, says that Acrobat 9 Pro Extended must be updated in order of the update number.

Can anyone provide some information on how I can update this favorite of mine?

Thanks!

Adobe did their job and fixed it years ago. Starting in version 10.

Test Screen Name, that is probably true. But by virtue of you stating that "...Adobe did their job and fixed it years ago. Starting in version 10...", that indicates that prior to version 10, they did not do their job!

I am glad to have resolved my issue with version 9!

I muddled my way the preceding discussion and guidance, and managed to successfully reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended 9.5.5 using Windows 10 Pro, version 1803, build 17134.1 yesterday: 05/05/2018.  Thanks to one and all contributors.

All the updates are available on the Adobe FTP site. The 9.1 update for Windows is available here:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/9.x/9.1/misc/

I have read your post. It is clearly incorrect since you say you have downloaded "all" the updates, and don't have 9.1. But since I have reading comprehension issues I won't challenge them by posting you a link to that. Find it yourself.

MVP I also owe you a public apology!

I was able to navigate to the ftp site. My disdain came from going to http://supportdownloads.adobe.com/product.jsp?platform=Windows&product=158, which start of at 9.1.1!

I am sorry for my rudeness and hope you can find in within you to accept my apology!

I have never been able to update the software.
