Acrobat DC 2024 merging xps to pdf files did't work

With an update to Acrobat DC 2024, the merge of xps files to a pdf file didn't work anymore. 

The used registry key for earlier versions, with BlockXPSParsing=0 seems not to work. 

 

So is there a new way to do this task as taking every xps file and print it to pdf is not suitable, as there are daily hundreds!

      Screenrecording is prohibited in our organisation and it coul not add more information as the already shared screenshots.

       

      I tried to merge xps files in Adobe Acrobat online too and got also an error. So I think here is a fundamental problem with that funktionality.

      Hi @RonaldTh 

       

      Have you started experiencing this issue recently? What happens when you try to merge the files? A small video recording of the steps you are doing and the issue occurring would be very helpful.

       

      What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20687 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

      Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

      Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works.

      Hello Amal,

      thanks for replying.

      Yes we have the newest Version of Acrobat 64bit. There is also the registrysetting for xps parsing in the adobe DC 64 bit part. 

      The workflow we're doing for merging the files is: in Explorer marking the xps files -> right mouse -> choose merge files in Acrobat  

      Acrobat is opening and shows "files cannot converted with Acrobat. Remove these files."

       

       

      So I hope it clarify the problem.

      Hello Amal,

      this is an issue with all xps files no matter of source. So if you print some files out of Word as xps you can check it.

      The issue is not reproducible ay our end. Please confirm the version of Acrobat Pro you are using and make sure you have the recent version, 24.02.20736, installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

       

      Also, share a small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue occuring and collect the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.
