Hi all.

When I open a PDF file and zoom in, Acrobat stops working.

I tried this solution:

Edit --> Preferences ---> Commenting---> uncheck "show comments pane when a pdf with comments is opened".

found in this thread

https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/why-is-my-acrobat-so-slow-on-my-macbook-pro/m-p/13569998

but it doesn't work.

Do you have any solution?

Hi @Luca23054395g2s8

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.08.20555 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works.

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in MAC https://support.apple.com/en-in/102367  and try using the application there and check.

Hi Amal, thanks for reply.

Unfortunately none of the solutions you purposed worked well.

The issue happens with any PDF file that is more complex than an image, such as printable ADV files.

Here are 2 screenshots of the version of Acrobat I running and the Mac I am using.

This issues happens also to my collegues that runsa different kind of Macs but same Arcobat Version and macOS version.

This issue is really bad because we are no longer able to check any file that need to be sent to printer services.

Only way to display a PDF is to use Apple Preview, but this can't be done for professional works.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Same problem here. I had to switch from Acrobat to Apple Preview as the default app to open PDF.
