Acrobat Pro How to Make Customized Toolbar Permanent Across Every PDF

I recently customized the toolbar in a pdf file I had open. (See top image) Note I am using the "older" Acrobat layout if that matters. (Hate the updated version)

When I opened another pdf file, the customizations I had made in the previous file did not appear in the new file. (Bottom image)

I want to lock my selections/customizations so that each time I open any pdf, the same tools appear in the top toolbar (menu bar?). I cannot figure out how to permanently save my changes.

Hi @Susan31578448jkks

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.03.20269 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards

Amal
