Acrobat Standard (paid) and Acrobat Pro (paid) Need Option of using less than 6 password characters!

First, the two existing posts linked above have "solutions" marked which no longer work (at least for paid Acrobat - Standard monthly subscription they don't work).  I've now tested the above "solutions" on 4 different PC's and 1 laptop with no success.

Aug. 3rd, 2023:  In both Windows 10 Pro (latest version/all updates installed to date) and in Windows 11 Pro (latest version/all updates installed to date) and using "Acrobat - Standard" (paid monthly subscription; also latest version/all updates installed to date) Adobe's "Set fewer than six characters long password for a PDF" article is useless.  Link to article:  https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/set-pdf-passwords-fewer-than-six-characters-long.html

The Action Wizard workaround requires upgrading from paid Acrobat Standard to paid Acrobat Pro (more expensive and includes extra features, which are useless to me).  No thanks.  I don't want to spend more money just to get a "workaround" solution.  I need to be able to set 4-character passwords the way I have always been able to.  Different users have different security needs.  The user should be able to change an advanced setting to allow fewer characters if they understand the risk.

The Windows registry edit workaround mentioned in the article above doesn't work either.  Chad305633165twg_0-1691110712583.png

@ADOBE, please update Acrobat to include an Advanced Setting allowing users to decide how many characters they would like to require for their document passwords.  Even if choosing less than 6-characters triggers a pop-up warning saying Adobe doesn't recommend this, but allowing the user to proceed if they choose to.

A Freature Request isn't a bad idea.

Submitting or voting for Feature Requests requires creating another seperate login to use "UserVoice"!  🤦  Why not my same Adobe ID login?  So many hoops to jump through.  So frustrating.

I just tried again (after checking for Acrobat updates to make sure I still have the latest version) and still can't get the Registry Settings Workaround to function on any of my Win 10 or Win 11 PC's with a paid subscription to "Acrobat - Standard".

I am beyond frustrated.  Instead of an un-user-friendly "workaround" in a paid software subscription, why isn't there just a simple Acrobat setting?    🤦‍

It looks like on Aug. 25th of 2021 a user already submitted this issue as a feature request.  I upvoted it.  If any other users see this Support Community forum, please add your upvote to the Feature Request section here:

@ Adobe:  So sad that a perfectly functional feature was broken/disabled by Adobe.  The workarounds don't work.  And now the issue has to be submitted as if it were a brand new feature.  Just change it back to the way it was before or allow users to control how many characters they feel comfortable with for their .pdf passwords.
