I frequently use Adobe Pro 8's "Compare Algorithm" - this is where I take two versions of a document, his "Compare", and look at textual differences in a side-by-side report. It typically underlines differences in the document in different colors.
I've used this for quite some time, but recently it has begun to seemingly delete pages at random in the comparison side-by-side report making it difficult to use. One work-around that sometimes works is inserting blank pages in the documents I'm comparing and then it seems to find the pages it deletes, but this workaround is inconsistent and inconvient.
Does anyone know of this problem or the solution?

As Acrobat 8 is since 2011 end-of-life, there won't be any updates or error corrections for this product. That also means that it is quite impossible that the program changes behaviour, except, when the OS updates and introduces incompatibilities.
Except for resetting the preferences. You will need to do your research to find a description that fits your situation. You may, however, have a look into this: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

My job requires marked-up side-by-side comparisons exported to PDFs that run hundreds of pages long. The latest Adobe doesn't offer this feature - instead it will print as a single page marked up with comments, not a side-by-side comparison. I don't know what the point of commentating was when your feedback was just try googling harder.
