Adobe Acrobat crash - printing comments

Hello, 

I have been trying to print a file including the comments and everytime I do it the application crashes and closes. 

I've tried shutting down my laptop and re-installing Acrobat but I still have the same issue. 

Can you please help ?

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

 

Is the application crashing only when printing this PDF with comments or otherwise as well? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

 

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to print the PDF with comments? A small video recording of the same will be very helpful. Also, go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/print-comments-acrobat-reader.html and see if that works.

 

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.3.20281 (Mac) or 22.3.20282 (Win) installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also, try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Hi Amal,

The application is crashing with all PDF files not one unique file.

To print the PDF with comments, I am opening the file and selecting "print with summary of comments" (in the menu I've highlighted in yellow below).

I've also tried directly Printing the document and only selecting "summary of comments" but it also causes the application to crash.

I have to most up to date version and have tried re-installing and trouble shooting via the app.

I have also tried moving the preferences as per the link you sent but that does not work either.

Please kindly advise,

What is your computer operating system? Check for and install any printer driver updates (google your printer name and model). Restart your computer.

Try downloading and installing the free Adobe Reader, can you print from there?

Have you tested the application in the new user profile or root account as suggested earlier?

 

Would you mind collecting the crash logs and print logs and share them with us for further investigation?
