This worked for me.

Disable Protected Mode by going to Menu > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) and deselecting Enable Protected Mode at startup.

i would also check/change the spelling and language to English (United Kingdom) my install with Arabic support.

Hi @Allan32463344er1y

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this issue. I understand how frustrating it can be when Adobe Acrobat DC isn't working as expected. Let's work together to resolve this.

Firstly, I'd like to gather some more information to pinpoint the problem:

  1. Have you started experiencing this issue recently after the update, or was it a problem before the update as well?

  2. Is this issue specific to a PDF file, or does it occur with all PDFs? It might be helpful to try opening a different PDF file to see if the issue persists. If the file is stored on a shared network or drive, please try downloading it to your local computer and then attempt to open it again.

  3. Do you know the version of Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? You can check this by going to "Help" > "About Acrobat." Ensure that you have the most recent version, which is 23.06.20320. If not, you can go to "Help" > "Check for updates" and make sure your software is up to date. After updating, remember to reboot your computer.

  4. Additionally, you can try repairing the installation from the help menu (this option is available for Windows users).

  5. If the problem persists, you can attempt to reset the Acrobat preferences. There's a helpful guide on how to do this here: Reset Acrobat Preference Settings.

  6. Another troubleshooting step is to create a new test user profile with full admin rights on Windows or enable the root account on macOS. Try using the application within this new profile to check if the issue remains.

If, after trying these steps, you're still encountering problems, please follow these further actions:

  1. Remove the application using the Acrobat Cleaner tool, which can be found here: Acrobat Cleaner Tool. Afterward, reboot your computer.

  2. Reinstall Adobe Acrobat DC using the direct download link: Adobe Acrobat DC Downloads.

I hope one of these steps will help resolve the issue you're experiencing.

If you need further assistance or have any questions along the way, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Regards

Amal
