Adobe Acrobat Pro won't save an edited PDF

Adobe Acrobat Pro version: Continuous Release/Version 2022.003.20310/64-bit

OS version: Windows 10

 

Issue: 

Opened saved Adobe pdf (tried with # of different files)_

Edited (removed an image)

Saved as pdf with same name 

 

Expected Result: save successful

Actual Result: not saved with message "Adobe has encountered an error and needs to close." then closing

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

What is the workflow you are doing to save as PDF with the same name? A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.


As you already have the recent version 22.3.20310 installed please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
