Using the latest version of Acrobat DC Pro (2021.005.20060) whenever I copy an image from a PDF document and then paste the image back into the same file, it's resizing to a smaller/lower resolution version of the original. This is driving me batty, as it's something I need to do several times a day. The workaround I'm using involves having to open the image in photoshop, save it from there and place it back into the PDF to get the second copy of the image into the file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Amal,
Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunatly none of them seemd to fix the problem.
I just went ahead and uninstalled it, and deleted the Acrobat frolder from the AppData folder and reinstalled. It seems to be working now.

I was able to get this resolved after having a support agent remote into my computer. Try going to edit, then prefeneces. Under Security (Enhanced), make sure enable enhanced security is uncheck, enable protected mode at startup is unchecked, and protected view is off. After checking these settings, you might want to close and reopen Acrobat.

Hi David
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As mentioned, whenever you copy an image from a PDF document and then paste the image back into the same file, it's resizing to a smaller/lower resolution version.
Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.
Also as you have the latest version of the application, please try to reboot the computer once and see if that helps.
You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in the help page https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html
If it still doesn't work, please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.
Regards
Amal

Hello,
I have same problem with my Adobe Acrobat DC too.
I uninstalled, reinstalled and did everthing you said in above.
And I talked with few people from adobe customer service as well, and they looked into my computer via remote desktop support.
However it still won't work.
I used to use the copy and pates without any problem until now for years, and it happens all of a sudden.
And it will make my life miserable if this is not working properly soon.
Please do something, please,please.
regards,

Sorry about my English, I have same issue. Already try previous posted solutions but same thing. I copy an image with some size and position and when go to next page to paste in same position, image is resized and centered in document. As all other members in community is so complicated to do image resizing and moving in each page, more when you have a ninety-five pages document. Help and assistance will be very appreciated.

Amal, thank you for your response. Already try to reset preferences, I have last version of product with all updates and nothing seems to help on this. I´m afraid that this must be escalated on with your develop team in order to figure out what´s going on. The sugestion of reset preferences, use application as administrator, is done by all members in this forum and nothing happens.
In the mean time this is solved , to members having this problem you can use the Stamp function to solve the copy-paste issue with images, just create a stamp with the image, stamp it in the correct place, resize if needed and then you can copy and move to next pages and paste it, that will keep image in the same position and same size all document.
Of course is not the final solution but it can help you guys. I´m sure Amal is going to help us very soon and this will be solved nice and easy.
Best to all

Hi Amal,
Why do keep posting the same reply to this new annoying problem that has cropped up all of a sudden. I have been using Acrobat for several years now and have never faced this issue in the past. All the copied images are getting resized i.e becoming smaller with lesser resolution while pasting. This issue never happened in the past. May be it is because of the latest Acrobat version. None of your solutions helped. Uninstalled and then re-installed, cleared preference and tried all other steps. I am going to cancel my subscription if Adobe does not provide a proper solution to this issue.

I am having the same issue. I've been using Adobe Pro DC for 5 years and never had a problem with copying and pasting images. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and clearing the app data as well. no luck. This issue came at the worst time as well since I have to update a large amount of documents. Please offer an alternate solution Adobe team.

Hi Lisat
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. Would you mind sharing a small video recording of the steps you are doing so that we can try to use the same to replicate the issue on our end?
Also, please share the sample image files that you are trying to paste into the PDF?
Also, please collect the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html and the procmon logs (Win only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share the logs with us via document cloud as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html so that we can isolate the issue for the fix.

Amal

Here is a 12 second screen recording of this issue - trying to copy an image from a previous page then paste it (retaining the same size/resolution/positioning as where it was copied from). Every time, it results in a little black box around the image, and the size/resolution/location have changed.
