Question

Create link button missing

I create several PDF files on a daily basis for which I have to create a link to be sent to a list of people. My coworkers all work on Acrobat DC Pro 32 bit, my version is Acrobat DC Pro 64 bit, and I can't seem to locate the button to create a link for the PDF file anywhere. For all my coworkers this is and always has been at the top right of the screen. I have used the search function, looked under all tools and am unable to create a link for any PDF document. How do I go about adding this feature to my version?

Check on the left hand side - circled in red. That creates a link for the document.

I am also having this issue, any help would be great!

Hi there

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.03.20269 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

Hi Samantha

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20117 (Win), 20112 (Mac). Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

Please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

You may also try to create the link and share the file via document cloud as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html

Hello Amal!
The version is 22.1.20117. It's a business account at a larger corporation so I unfortunatley do not have access to creating admin test user profiles and such. I have already tried to repair the install which did unfortunately not solve my issue.
