Digital Signature Not readeable

Hello,

When i try to digitaly signe a PDF document i have a signature not readable.

I have install a new version and suppress the preference folder.

Did someone Know how to repair this.

Hi Sebastien,

 

Hope you are doing well and sorry to keep you waiting.  We have got some updates from the engineering team as below:

By default MyriadPro-Regular font is used for signing. The issue might arise if the font which is used for signing is present under C:\Windows\Fonts but is a shortcut linking to other software's cache.

So, let's try out a few steps and check the behavior:

  1. Please check if the same font is present under C:\Windows\Fonts
  2. If present,  Is it a font shortcut?
  3. Uninstall the MyriadPro-Regular font from the Windows Fonts directory (C:\Windows\Fonts ) and see the behavior.
  4. Install the Adobe provided MyriadPro-Regular font into the Windows Fonts directory and check the behavior.

    If it still doesn't work: please try cleaning Local app data cache here  %LOCALAPPDATA%\Adobe\Acrobat\<track> and reboot the computer once and check.

 

Let us know how it goes.

Hi,

I have read the discussion and i already try to install the last version (after a clean uninstall of the last Adobe version) and it doesn't work. i have delete the preference and do a ccleaner regedit clenaning before.

Hi there

 

It seems to be the font issue with the PDF file. Please go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > preferences > Page Display > Under rendering Select 'Use local fonts' > Click OK and reboot the computer.

 

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there .

Hello,

The option 'Use local fonts" is already select.

We try to recreate a new Digital Signature but we have the same problem.

When we try with another session it's working.

How can i suppress all configuration on this session.

Hi,

I don't know if i understand well your question but on the same computer when i change user (for one i use) it's working well. I have to create a new digital signature. 

That's why i ask how can i delete all the user configuration and preferences for the problematic user.

Hello,

We have delete the user profil and recreat it after. we install the last Adobe redear DC.The solution looks to work for few days but it's comming back after few days.

And i begin to have more and more user who have the same issue.

We are sorry to hear that. The issue mainly arrises when the required font is not priperly embedded in the PDF file or its not present on your system or you may not have the required permission to use the font.

Hello,

I have read your link bute i haven't found a solution. What can i do for the font.

I am not sure that it's comming from this. A user can sign document for few weeks and one day it's not working. The documents are the same or made with the same way (from word document).

We are sorry to hear that. Please make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

 

Also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows orenable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

hello,

We have install the newest version 21.11.20039 We have recreat the profil of the user (suppress the old one).

It's working for few days but it's coming back with the same signature problems. 

We have this issue with two personns.

It's begin to be annoying. we need a real solution to have redeable signature.

We are sorry to hear that. Would you mind sharing the workflow/steps you are doing to sign the PDF file? Is its a digital or a certificate signature or are you using the fill and sign ie: Adding an image?

 

Please try to create a new signature and then try to sign the PDF file and check. Also try signing a different PDF file and see if that works.

Hello,

For Signing PDF file we open the PDF with adobe.

On the right panel we open other tools. we click on the certificats tools. on the new menu we click on the "sign numericaly" icon. I select the part of the document where we want to put the signature. We choose the windows numeric ID we want to use (it's autosigne certificate). We choose the aspect, we lock or not the document (same result). and we click on sign.

On the aspect some people add an image but it's the same as the standard image, same result. 

If we creat a new signature it's doing the same things. Same for different PDF.
