Document Cloud toolbar options not working

I am currently having trouble with blank pop-up screens for requesting signatures and creating DC links.

Another issue seems to be occuring on the lefthand side toolbar that I cannot select any options over there like documents I have shared previously.

If I click "Shared by you" nothing happens at all.

It is as if there is no connection to Document Cloud anymore I am guessing.

I have attached a small screenshot of where I am looking.

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on this.

Thank you.

Hi there

Sorry to keep you waiting. The planned update for Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC version 21.11.20039  is now available. Please update the application from the help menu > Check for updates  and reboot the computer once.

You may also download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html  and see if that works for you.

For more information about the new release please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html

Let us know if you experience any trouble and need more help

Hi Dola

hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. As described, you are getting blank pop-up screens for requesting signatures and creating DC link and you  cannot select any options in the left hand side tool bar.

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to request signature?

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to help > about Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.07.20099 installed. Go to help > Check for updates and reboot the computer.

You may also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Also please try to logout of the application, reboot the computer and religion and check.

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works for you.

Hello Amal

Firstly, I went back in the afternoon and everything worked again. This is the issue this keeps coming and going a couple of times a week.

This is what I was doing:

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to request signature?

- I open a pdf document from my desktop into Adobe DC.

- there are a bundle of options to choose on the righthand side toolbar

- I select 'request signature'

- white pop up screen comes up

- I select escape to get out of it, nothing else works

recent version 21.07.20099 installed

yes, this does seem to be the version I was on, it said Continuous or something similar at the top of the window

Check for updates and reboot the computer.

I've done this check and there does appear to be a version to update to so I am doing that now. But as I say, things seemed to be fixed already.

I had tried logging out of adobe and I had turned off my computer and started again. However, I cannot keep doing that a few times a week as it keeps coming and going out. It needs to be more stable than that. I remember this in the old days when windows first released you used to be able to handle the computer crashing all the time. Maybe you could ring Bill Gates and see if he can help you guys fix the issue... 🙂
