Question

embedded fonts

Adobe found unembedded fonts in my document. How can i locate them? When I submitted my PDF to Ingram Spark for print, they rejected it because some of my fonts weren't embedded. I downloaded Acrobat and it showed me the fonts that weren't embedded, but I had no way of finding them in my document. I spent hours going through my document and found some of them, but not all. I have over 100 images with text boxes. The un embedded fonts were 'buried' in those text boxes. Q? Is there any way of embedding those fonts; or an easier way to locate them?

Do you mean, how can you find out which fonts are missing?

Or how to embed the missing fonts?

There are 2 methods to embed fonts into a PDF:

  1. Select the option to embed them when the PDF is exported form the source application.
  2. Use Acrobat Pro to embed the fonts into the PDF. Note that this method requires that the fonts be on your computer system.

What was the original source program you  created the document with? Word? InDesign? Something else?

Mac or Windows?

Once we know, we can give you instructions on making a new PDF from it that embeds the fonts. You won't have to search your computer or the document for them.
