Every time I close the program it gives me an error message as if it crashed.

"Acrobat Pro quit unexpectedly"

Not a super big deal but pretty annoying.

Correct answer Amal.

Hi there,

The new version 23.08.20555 of Acrobat is now available addressing the fix for the issue.

Please update the application from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

You may also download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

Regards

Amal

Why do I get this error on every document I close?

Hi there

Have you started experiencing this issue recently?

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20687 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and check if that works.

Same here... still happening.

I don't lose anything.... it just reports an error when you either use the keyboard to quit, or when you close the window, then manually quit using the dropdown.

Just throwing my hat in the ring, the application crashes every single time after quitting the app. Luckily it does it's job, but It doesn't save the pinned buttons, because of the crash!!

Some more infos: I'm on the latest issue of Ventura (Since that's the latest this iMac will run) and the crash doesn't happen on a fresh user.

I've already deleted all the prefs manually. Used the Acrobat Cleaner or what it's called, un- and reinstalled. deleted some old fonts, nothing. Adobe please fix this. You are not some backwater developer for Pete's sake!!!

I've been experiencing this for months. I really hoped it would be resolved by now, but unfortunately it's still occurring. I open and close a lot of PDFs on a regular work day, so it's definitely annoying to have to keep closing that dialog box.
