the document I want downloads and then triggers a very updated version of Adobe Acrobat, trying to also push subscribing. When I click on create a PDF Adobe just gives more options and goes to free trial. I  called support for the site which is a HOSPITAL portal and was told this is how the location I go to set up their portal to function. I just want a copy of my own medical information. It used to work before.  This is rather hard to believe. It doesns't make sends.

When I click right on the document, nothing comes up that says "save as" which usually is the case.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

it looks like they're both there. is reader part of acrobat if acrobat gets installed. I didn't agree to install anything. i coudln't get to the options you put. Help, about etc. i went to apps in chrome. Is there somewhere else to look?

no, reader is a different app from acrobat.

you should contact adobe support unless you want to pay for an acrobat subscription.

there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):

    chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
    and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

    twitter/x:
    tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.
