Version 2023.003.20201 is absolutely terrible!! Who decided to change the UX and UI of this app? It was perfectly fine. Now it's unusable. How does one go back a version? I should have turned off my auto-updates. This is a very dissapointing update in every possible way. Would love some info on my request. Thank you.

I want to thank Kodak for helping me, they gave me instructions how to remove the current version and links to last years version. This version broke multiple plug-ins and so many other issues with how it ran. I cant even use any Plug ins with a 4k monitor since over a year ago. At least last year the Plug ins would run on Non 4 K monitors. Adobe needs to be more aware of what the users needs are and work with companies like Kodak that have Prepress plug ins that are for printing. Adobe, let us know when this is fixed.

Sorry Anand, but the new update is terrible. I am trying to add a text box to a PDF document that used to be so easy and now it is completely NOT easy. Won't let me add the box actually, AT ALL. So I am now having to try and add a text comment box that starts off shaded in black with a red border. Who wants to add a text box shaded in black???? Can't figure out how to remove the black and take away the hideous red outline. Why are you guys making something that was so easy so complicated??????

Changing the interface wasn't necessary. Learning a new interface wasn't necessary. Adobe telling me that I need to change the way I work that's worked for me for a long time isn't a step forward in progress. It's a step toward me dumping Adobe and getting BlueBeam.

This is the worst... there is no upside other than upside down. I have not had a worse experince in a softwater upgrade since Windows Vista. You have no menu bar WTF... it wont print a PDF FOrm to a PDF to colsolidtae the form fields. This is just bad.

I agree this update isn't the best, but I suggest using the Preflight tool to collapse form fields. You just open preflight, scroll to find the option to collapse form fields, then click "analyze and fix", and it works pretty well.

While some of the new features are neat and helpful, the new UI is not very intuitive. It takes more clicks to get to certain features than it did before. For example, to get to "Organize Pages", I used to be able to add the shortcut as an icon directly to my side toolbar and I would be taken directly to the thumbnail view. Now, I have to go to "All Tools" and then I can click on Organize Pages to get to this view. The concept of adding certain functions of a tool to my toolbar, rather than the entire tool, for example adding "Extract Pages" functionality rather than the entire "Organize Pages" tool, doesn't make sense to me. It loads up my toolbar with each individual function rather than just the whole tool. The floating toolbar is also really annoying and takes up more space than it needs to. I already have a right-hand and left-hand menu, why do I need an additional floating one, when they could all fit on the same side? I find myself constantly having to move it around so I can see my document. The new checkboxes on page thumbnails are also very annoying, it adds an extra click to selecting documents and it's unnecessary. If I want to click thumbnails and copy them into a new document, I can't do it by simply selecting the page thumbnail, I actually have to select the checkbox. However, if I want to select multiple pages, I have to click each checkbox individually, and using the shift key to select multiple doesn't work when using the checkboxes. I can only use the shift key to select multiple pages by clicking on the page thumbnails (without clicking the checkboxes). This seems inconsistent and is annoying as well. New features don't matter as much when your workflow is thrown off. I hope the UX/UI designers can improve the experience of the new Acrobat.

Well, the UX of this new version is not really convenient to my point of view.
The main trouble (wich is not UX) is the scrollbar are still missing. Really really annoying !

Notable change? It's unusable! Mac users with the update cannot print anything. I have reinstalled, updated...every possible suggested fix. This is the worst!

I have given Oct 23 a good go and unfortunately it is dismal, I'm putting this change up there with bud light's marketing campaign. No quick access to tools (Tool Search funcation can't even find some tools), can't close side bars without disabling tools, some tools used regularly dont seem to exist anymore. Why oh why did you do this?

Hello, I'm all for updates, but the new version of Acrobat constantly crashes my laptop, so it's not just about familiarisation it's about getting the job done.
Just fyi.

I agree with the other comments. This change was completely unnecessary! I always enjoyed working with this system because it was simple, and easy to find every tool I may have needed. The changes made of done everything but simplify. The look is different. That’s all; not better; just different. And so much more difficult to navigate through.

Nobody on the planet is gonna get used to this and like it as long as you have to click through drop down menus to get to common tools. I have to click a drop down to select the select tool or other tools that I used to be able to just pin to a quickbar is a nightmare and screws up my flow immensely.
Why can't I just put a tool from a dropdown menu right on the bar??? This UI is bad. Also putting the "select" tool behind a dropdown menu is insane. I've tried to customize my bar and it's not even available to fix - I can only add the dropdown that has the pan tool with it. Same with a bunch of other highly used tools (highlight). I had to turn on hotkeys (which also isn't an intuitive process and buried) so I can just hit V but it's not even available for a lot of tools I use. For instance I used highlight constantly, and the hotkey for default highlighting tool won't even go to the default, it goes to underline. So I gotta click through the stupid menu to get to the one I want. Seriously like, 2,000 times a day at work.
Making it less cluttered is good if it doesn't lose efficiency. Making it less cluttered is bad if it makes it take 2-3 clicks to do anything you used to be able to set up to do with 1. I have to use a combination of tools over and over, swapping between them, and having to hit dropdown menus to get to half of them when I used to be able to just add them to my quickbar and click them is awful.
The only reason I stick with Adobe paying the stupid subscription service (can't even buy the software) is because I'm comfortable using it efficiently so it was worth it.

I am aware you and your team worked hard on this and I would be willing to try it more but it wont work with Kodak's plug ins and I need those to do traps and plate building. Unfortunately, I had to go back until these issues are fixed and it works better across the board. I will keep looking to Kodak for a green light and then I will test it before our team goes down this rabbit hole again. A lot of lost time, where I think it should have gone through some beta testing with printers and other base user.

They must have hired a bunch of ex-Microsoft employees who think things need to be changed for no reason. Someone has to be just a pure psychopath on the Adobe team to make these changes. They add no value and just ruin productivity with no upside for thousands, tens of thousands, maybe millions of people.

Yes, please. Our company just lost valuable time and we have figured out most of the new placing for tools.
However, the dealbreaker is that I can no longer re-arrange pages just by click*hold*drag*realse. Acrobat simply doesn't acknowledge it
In like experience and frustrationafter I type out text Acrobat will not let me drag the corners of the box to expand or shrink it and can only select one word/line at a time.
Is there a setting I need to adjust? This truly is a disappointing change in so many aspects of such an imperative app at one time.

I'm really REALLY hoping that new attrocity was a beta and the "disable new acrobat" option was put in place for a logical reason. I've seen 27 years of design action, and I'm honestly struggling to ever remember a worse UX/UI than the one I've just experienced. Honestly Adobe, you've an app that is and will remain the market leader from not being broke or needing to be fixed. No idea who or where the idea of that new abomination came from, but I hope I never have to try and use it again. Appalling.
