Hi Adobe,
This problem has reoccurred again, with versions from late 2021, I have just updated to the latest version for mac: Version 2022.001.20112 and the guides are not visible until released again, which defeats the purpose of having guides.
Can you please make your Acrobat software engineers aware of this issue again and for them to perhaps keep an eye on this issue that it doesn't keep reoccuring. We pay a lot of money for our Creative Cloud subscription and this bug has been apparent since late last year, it occured for a while back in 2016/2017 also, now its back. My job is checking artwork, so functioning guides are essental when comparing the line up of key elements in artwork. Can you please get them to expedite the matter, as the turn around time back in 2016 took months to resolve.
Many thanks,
Grant

Hi Grant,
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.
Would you mind sharing the small video recording of the steps you are doing and the issue you are experiencing for a better understanding?
Please go to View tab > Show/hide > Rulers & Grids and select Rulers and Guides and see if that helps.
As you have recently updated the application to the recent version, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Hi Amal,
Thanks for your reply and follow up email. No the issue still persists as it is a programming bug, not how its installed or a preference. You can replicate it if you are using a Mac, I'm sure its okay on a PC. Video below from Acrobat showing how when you grab a guide from the ruler you initally see nothing - so you have no way to line it up with objects, when you release the mouse button you see the guide. Once the guide has dropped on the page THEN it shows when you move it subsequently. This is a bug, I've attached how it should work with a video from using guides from inDesign and you will see that the guide is visible when you grab it from the ruler. This is how its supposed to work in Acrobat too and it did up until a few versions back. Videos I have attached.
Thanks, G.

I can confirm the guide lines do not appear on a Mac, until the mouse is released.

Hi Amal,
Thanks for the update - I can confirm they have fixed it. Version I'm using in the screen shot.
Please thank the developers for giving this attention. What appears a minor issue can actually be a cumulative time waster for those of us using the program at a professional level, facing deadlines etc. Improves our productivity.
Cheers,
G.
