Key to move to next search result

I used to press "Enter" in the result windows of the "Advanced Search" to move the focus to the matched word. After updating Acrobat to the latest version, the "Enter" key stops working, I have to use mouse click to move to the target page. Is there any setting to change this behaviour, or a new shortcut key?

I have tried "F3" and "Ctrl + G" in this link:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/keyboard-shortcuts.html#keys_for_general_navigating

But they don't work.

Thank you.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

I have tried to reproduce the issue on my end (Win 11 and Acrobat Pro DC version 22.1.20117) and its working fine.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat DC and the OS you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.120117(Win), 20112(Mac). Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and check if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Sorry, I have mixed up the keys. In the previous version, such as 2020, I could press "down arrow" to move to the focus to the next result entry, the PDF will focus on the page the matched word located. After update, pressing "down arrow" keeps moving the focus to the next entry in the result list, but the PDF does not move to that page. I have to click the entry to move the PDF to that page. Thank you.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to search for a different word (which is not located on the first page) and check the results.

If the word is present on the first page the focus of the page will not change unless you press enter then the page focus will move to the next page which has the searched word as per the design behavior.

Hope it will help

Hello.  I think my issue is the same.  In the list of "hits" from an Advanced Search, the up and down arrow keys normally scroll through the list AND cause the focus to go to that location on the document.  On this fresh install of Reader 2020 (new laptop) using the arrow keys scrolls up and down the list but the focus does not jump to that search location.  Only a left-mouse click causes a jump to that location.  Is this a setting we can change?  Thank you.

Hi @Jeffrey266863288654

We are sorry for the delay in response.

Would you mind sharing the version of the OS and the application you are using? To check the version goto Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.3.20258 from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and check.

Unfortunately not working for me. However, the down-arrow advances to the next found occurrence. Would much prefer command-G.
