Hi,
I'm new in scripts, i know the mechanism of for loop which i understand ill need to use for the script im looking "for" 🙂

I need a script that worked with Livesycle designer, to calculate sum of cells in 1 column,
Of course taking care of null cells (for not getting an error).
This script suposed to use of calculating a consecutive cells (numbers\money) and at the total cell i suposed to see the sum of the specifc cells in the columns (lets say 3 cells).

Please help 🙂

Do you work with LiveCycle Designer? If so, you can ask you questions in the LiveCycle community: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/Adobe-LiveCycle/ct-p/adobe-livecycle-community

In general: To sum your fields, you don't need a loop in FormCalc. You can simply use the Sum() method with a generic SOM expression, to address the desired fields in the rows.

$ = Sum(RowName[*].CellName)

Hi,

Are you asking for a javascript that is meant to work in a Live Cycle form?

OR

Are you asking how to adapt the equivalent of a script that was used in a Live Cycle PDF form and adapt that javascript for Acroforms?

Hi ls_rbls,

Yes, the first option to do it in live Cycle.

Thanks.

Hi,

I just posted two useful links for another user in the following thread:https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/livecycle-es2-calculated-field-no-greater-than-a-certain-value/m-p/10831961#M234575

With the answers in those discussions you may be able to generate a simple script.
