Hi James, I had a similiar issue and was fixed. Here is what I did, hope it works on your laptop:
1. Press Win+R and type in "regedit", then press enter to open Registry Editor
2. Navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\(product name)\(version)\FeatureLockDown
3. Delete registry values in the right column and voila, problem solved

I've just tried it today and its worked. I deleted the whole FeatureLockDown folder and restarted the laptop. To my surprise all the missing tools were back.
Hope that helps 🙂

I had a similar issue after reinstalling Acrobat 2022 Pro DC 64-bit on a new build with Windows 11 Pro 64 OS, where most of my Quick Tools toolbar icons were invisible (clicking on empty locations would open them).
I suspected it was a display issue, and I found that the new clean install of Acrobat had entered my Dell monitor's icm settings into the 3 options for Color Management in the Preferences menu; i.e., RGB, CMYK & Grayscale.
Resetting these to default Acrobat entries allowed all the missing hidden invisible tool icons to reappear everywhere.
I hope this relatively easy, but frustrating without any similar Acrobat Forum solutions, may help other users.

Hi @Nick25569947p0ch That is strange! Try searching for one of the missing tools based on the full list of tools in my screenshot. If they still don't show up, under the Help menu, click “Repair Installation” to see if that resets things. If the missing tools are still not coming up, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Let us know if you get them back!

I have this new acrobat adobe and things are missing. No Tools. Only something that says All Tools and it's missing things like Comment tool.
There seems to be no way for me to get these simple things.

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well
We acknowledge that the new Acrobat represents a notable change; however, we hope that as you get familiar with the new interface, you can be more productive and get more out of Acrobat.
We are actively working on all the feedbacks and we will address them with the highest priority.
If your critical workflows are impacted, you can switch to the old UI from the “Menu” on the top left corner of Windows and View Menu on MacOS. For more info about the new Acrobat, please check the help page: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/learn-about-new-acrobat/td-p/14078856

Right, I see that they aren't showing up for you. Have you tried to reset or reinstall Acrobat yet?

It has been repaired. There was something in the Regedit that was blocking all the additional features. Once we deleted that the problem was solved.

Hi Alfred,
Many thanks for your reply, I will try this on the users laptop and report back. I'm hoping that will help, it's been ongoing for a while now and no one seems to have an answer including Adobe.
Cheers!

Yes, requires a PC restart after you delete the registry item previously mentioned in the thread.

I found out that the program that was showing as "DC" was in fact a Reader version, despite me installing Acrobat Pro DC previously. Had to uninstall it and re-install again and my tools are back.

Thanks for letting us know @Lina26301008mbgd and I'm glad this is sorted out for you now! Yes, all the Acrobat versions can cause confusion. The latest subscription Pro version is a “Continuous Release” model. The latest free Reader DC is 2022.002.20191. The official names of the current lineup of Acrobat products are: Acrobat Reader DC, Acrobat Standard DC, and Acrobat Pro DC. I remember being confused when they added the DC, which stands for Document Cloud.

FWIW:
Seems that Adobe dropped the "DC". From my MacBook Pro:

I am having the same trouble. I used to be able to click on what I think was just a T in the menu bar and I could just type anywhere on the document. Now that has disappeared. I went to the customize toolbar but when I added the T back in, it was for editing the existing document. The difference is one just allows me to say answer questions on a letter and the other allows me to change the questions. I don't want to be in the edit mode. Does that make sense?
I tried the instructions above but when I open Registry Editor, I don't see HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe. Please help. I only see the following:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
HEY_CURRENT_USER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKEY_USERS
HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG
Maybe it is because this is a work program, I don't own it.
