How do I make sure I see all of the text entered in a flowable text field on a form when I print the form out?

Correct answer Amal.

Hi Amy,

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, you want to print all the text in the flowable/scrollable text field.

Have you created the form or have you got the form from a different user?

If you are using the Acrobat Pro DC and have the permission to edit the PDF form, please set the font size to auto in the text field properties. This will make the the text smaller and fit to the text field as you type and when you print the PDF all the text will be visible.

-Open the PDF form

-Go to Tools > Prepare Form > Double click on the Text field

- This will open the text field properties dialogue box.

-Under 'Appeareance Tab' Set Font Size to 'Auto' and click close and then try to print.

Another way is to use the Javascript on the PDF form to print all the text in the scrollable text field. Hope this information will help

I don't think  that flowable text fields is a feature of PDFs that are created with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, maybe that is a feature of Adobe LiveCycle.

Are these the PDFs that you're referring to?

If, on the other hand, you're referring to PDFs that were created using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, then those must be text fields with field properties set to "Multi-Line" or "Scroll Long Text".

If this is the case, then you'll need to edit those text fields and expand them manually to make all the text that is contained in them visible before you print the form.  Not very convenient but that is the best you can do in this case.
