Hi @Grafici
Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
As described, the scrollbar disappeared after the update, Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and then try again.
Also, try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards
Amal

Amal-- I had the same exact thing happen (on Mac). A user complained to me asking where the scrollbar went. It was still there on my version, which was 2023.006.20284. I uninstalled, reinstalled and it pulled this new .20320 version and the scrollbar is gone. It only shows up when actually scrolling. This is very difficult to use like this. I don't think this is a setting that needs to be reset, but rather that the developers at Adobe changed this setting. Please check with your developers and see if there's a way to revert back to having the scrollbar visible at all times.
Colin.

Hi @ColinD77
Following the latest macOS guidelines, we have completely overhauled the Acrobat scrolling framework for Mac as part of our September '23 release. This fundamental transition from NSView to NSScrollView significantly impacts the behaviour of the Mac user interface. It introduces a modern scrolling experience that is responsive during active use and eliminates the need for excessive space.

Thank you! This is really slowing down the way our users are working.

I agree, why not leave scroll bars as an option for the user rather then just eliminating them altogether.

This is such a bad idea that I shall be actively seeking an alternative software

But your previous reply implies this was a deliberate change to introduce “a modern scrolling experience” - so which is it? The lack of a scrollbar is a deal-breaker for me.

I'm writing this on December 4, 2023.
I'm using Acrobat Reader v. 2023.006.20380 on a MacBook Pro IOS 1.6.3 (Monterey).
There are no available updates on Acrobat Reader, and I still don't have a scroll bar, which makes using this application for reading PDFs almost impossible. The scrollbar actually appears for a second when I use the arrow keys to scroll up or down, but it is almost impossible to grab that scroll bar before it disappears. I sit in official civic meetings trying to follow official documents and am driven crazy by the lack of that commonplace former tool on Reader. Can you tell me when in the next decade you will give us that tool so that we can resume our ordinary work lives???
Thanks.

The fix doesn't work for single page view.

Well, that seemed unneccesarily complex to fix.

I am still not seeing Horizontal and Vertical scrollbars in either the new or classic interface.
Has anyone been able to have this fixed?
Thank you

That seemed to work for a while, and now doesn't. I double checked the settings and haven't done any OS or Creative Suite updates between it working and suddenly not working. Thoughts?

This fix still does not work. Are they still working on this?
