Hi FredhPCM,

Thank you for reporting this.

Please try once to repair the installation of the application. In the applicaiton, go to Help > Reapir Installation.

Reset the application preferences using the steps provided here https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-8511 and reboot the machine.

Check if that helps.

If the icon still not available, please share the OS version on the machine.

Also, let us know if you are using the application on your personal machine or on the work machine.

We will be waiting for your response.

Downloaded the newest and latest Adobe Reader DC from the Adobe.com website today and the Send File is not showing up in the toolbar. It is version 2019.021.20048. I uninstalled the new version and rebooted and reinstalled it and it still not showing the Send File. Here's what it looks like:

No Send File on toolbar.

Send File is checked.

I think the out of cycle update messed up the Send File. See my post here:

Our workplace is having an issue with 19.021.20048. Any workstation that gets the update loses the "Send File" icon in the toolbar.

It's still checked under "Show File Tools" but doesn't display. Users have to go to "File", "Send File" or use the share menu which causes a slight disruption when they are using the IE extension.

Running a repair does not resolve it, they are coming from 19.021.20047 where this was not an issue.

When opening a PDF in the browser viewer (IE / Edge) the "Send file as email" - button is missing even though its actived in the menu bar.

AdobeReader_Button_missing.jpg

Having some clients still running version 2019.012.20036 the button is still there.

Problem happens on clients with 2019.021.20047 / .20048.

Hi,

I've noticed the exact same issue.
The email functionality is actually really handy, and would love to have it back.

After sending a PDF via AOL mail, when I accessed my account an error was showing. I can find the solution to the AOL mail error after visiting many sites. But still, I can't understand why the error occurred after sending that PDF via AOL mail. I don't know why the error has occurred, it still unsolve to me.

Take a look at this page:

https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/acrobat/kb/send-email-attachment.html#

You can install a registry file and use the share button to email the PDF file.

Dear JBetts97, thanks for your answer but we have this registry key enabled for more than a year now.

In fact, this registry file is used to have the "email button" work as "attach to email" and not open the unified sharing experience.

Our problem is, that we have no "Email button" anymore as you can see in my screenshot.

Using adobe DC on windows 10, we use internet explorer because we still have companies that we work with that only work on ie. When openning a pdf online the mail icon is no longer showing on the toolbar. When I check the box to display it nothing changes. Hopefully someone can help me, I realize this may be an internet explorer issue as well as it is very outdated.

Thanks

Hi community:

Using Adobe Acrobat Standard DC. Version 19.021.20047.26424.

When I look under Show File Tools, the email icon is checked, but it does not show up on the toolbar. So, I am unable to attach the pdf to an email.

Any ideas?

Thanks - Bert

Our rds environment has been updated with the latest version of Acrobat Reader (2019.021.20047). After the update the email button disappeared in embedded forms in our ERP software. The button is enabled in the "Show file tools functionality" but does not appear. When opening a PDF from acrobat the button is visible.
