Hi Stuart
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat/Reader DC you are using? To check the version goto Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version installed. Go to Help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/enable-pdf-thumbnail-preview-windows-explorer.html and see if that works for you.
Regards
Amal

I am using version 2022.001.20117. The program was deleted and reinstalled yesterday; repair installation has been run as well. All updates have been applied.
With regards to the link, I have already done what was suggested as well. No change in the result.

Hi Stuart
We are sorry to hear that.
What do you get in place of thumbnails on your computer? Please share the screenshot or a small video recording of the issue for a better understanding?

Hi there
We are sorry to hear that. Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that helps.
Also, try to toggle between the list view and the thumbnail view on the page you have shown and see if that helps.
Regards
Amal

Every suggestion has failed. Preferences folder was moved, registry cleared. program uninstalled and reinstalled with same results.

There is one more thing you can try: Resetting the preferences, but also re-installing Acrobat will not remove all traces of the program from your system. Adobe offers and Acrobat Cleaner application that removes everything. This is what I do for things I cannot resolve any other way: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html - If that still does not work, then you might be dealing with in interaction between the operating system and the application.
