Unable to convert to PDF from Word

I am no longer able to convert a Word doc to a PDF using the add-on "create a PDF" function on my Mac. When I click "create a PDF", Adobe does open, and there is a dialog box that says "Uploading file to Adobe Document Cloud" and it stays there, eventually I get an error message and it quits. Both my OS and adobe DC are up to date. I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe yesterday, and it still does not work. Help!

I should add that I also have a lenovo ThinkPad, and I am unable to convert a Word doc to a PDF as well. I received this error message yesterday after I installed all the necessary updates.
