2nd pdf doesn't render properly

New Here ,
Mar 16, 2017 Mar 16, 2017

My user is experiencing an issue where if she has a pdf open, when she launches a second it doesn't launch correctly.

1. Open pdf

2. Open 2nd pdf

3. 2nd pdf appears garbled

We've tried disabling the overlay, reinstalling Acrobat, clearing out cache in App Data.. Separate processes work fine.

Hi Tcraig56236671,

This seems to be happening may be because the fonts in the file are not embedded on the machine or is happening because of any corrupt fonts in the file.

So you may try recreating the file using the required fonts or download the fonts required on the machine.

Also, you may check the fonts used in the file by opening the file>Document Properties> Fonts tab.

And please refer to the article in the link below to embed fonts:

PDF fonts, Adobe Acrobat

Thanks,

Supriya

You might be right about the fonts but if I open the same pdf first and then the same one that was first second, it doesn't render properly.

It's not isolated to a single file. It's ANY pdf in that order so I can swap them around and get the same result.
