Is there another pdf reader that is (more) compatible with win server 2016??
TIA

I got this to work today. Here is what I found and what I did:
1. It appears as of today there still isn't a version for Server 2016 as that OS doesn't appear in the list on Adobe web site.
2. So, first run adobe acrobat removal tool to cleanup your unsuccessful installation attempts. Then delete everything from windows\temp and %profile%\appdata\local\temp. Also any Adobe entries from the registry. Finally, reboot.
3. Download and install 7-zip.
4. Download Adobe Reader DC offline installer for Win

Hey ... Thanks for the insult, but I do have enough grey matter to have read the requirements before I asked my question.
Win server 2016 is pretty new and I recall that Win 10 was available for a while before the adobe requirements were updated for it too.
And I'll bet that adobe doesn't install software on their production servers unless they know it's compatible. I certainly do not.

Hi Porjoe,
Apologies as I do not have the document handy regarding the same and will check with our product team about the same.
In the meanwhile, request you to refer to the link below for downloading the Reader application for enterprise:

4. Download Adobe Reader DC offline installer for Windows 10, but DO NOT run it.
5. Use 7-zip to extract the offline installer file.
6. Go to the folder where the offline installer was extracted, find setup.exe and run run it as administrator.
