Acrobat Reader - Highlight Text function not auto aligning

Suddenly the auto align feature of the Highlight Text functionality has stopped working in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  I have uninstalled and re-installed but nothing has changed.  Anyone know how to enable this please?
