This was the ONLY reason I paid for a subscription: I receive long legal documents in Hebrew that I have to translate into English so need to Export to Word to then use a free translation service.
But when Acrobat extracts the original Hebrew text it dumps the Hebrew text as gibberish - strings of letters and numbers. Even the English words within the Hebrew original are encoded;
Here is an example
aal,C<U: <.UlW4l 4 ca,a NUlhO lCUll\Nl! CTGl 4O <.<.C(a LClr.\ (,\(0 acml!CNal <.(CL! l?ICL CNUlhO Nh <.l!<.L! Uti\4la, ti\CL l!C\LUL! <.!\Nl l!Clt'i\<.O Cl!Gato· NOCC<.U 41.lWN w c Cl lLL.
The result is completely USELESS.
I use Microsoft Word with both English and Hebrew language packages installed and work in both languages every day. This problem is not me, my laptop settings or Microsoft - it is Acrobat who appear to have developed a shoddy solution to enabling Hebrew text and which therefore disables the key function Export to Word.
I want to cancel my subscription as this product is useless but now discover I have been tricked from a monthly charge into an uncancellable annual contract.
NOT JUST USELESS - DISHONEST TOO.

Now, are you using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (rather than Reader, which is where you have posted to)?
If you want help, would it be possible to share a PDF with some Hebrew text? I could do a test. It may be a specific font issue.
