adobe acrobat reader could not open because it is either not a supported file type

Good day 
before two week i was able to read pdf files 
and now some files it gives me an error message and i couldnt read , edit or convert 
tried to open with different apps like browser but again error 

tried to repair but the files cannot repair 

 

how to fix this issue

Hi @turki_6827

 

Additionally, to what @Bernd Alheit has suggested. 

Launch Google Chrome using Cmd/Ctrl + O, locate the file, and open it in Chrome. If the file renders fine then the issue might be related to Reader. 

However, considering the error message, it seems the file has gone bad. If possible, please share the file with us, and we will review it and share our observations.

The file you shared does not seem to be a PDF file. 
The drive that file was on might have had a crash, or some program overwrote the original PDF contents with something else. Have you probably experimented with some file encryption tool? Or have you been subject to an unfinished ransomware attack that encrypted some of your files but then got stopped?

Hello @MikelKlink 

i didnt do anything on the file

i was able to read this file and just kept in same folder and come back to check the file again but suddenly not opening any more
