Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on Mac

New Here ,
Oct 08, 2021 Oct 08, 2021

From some time already, probably 1 month, I have a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Is closing in about 20 seconds after I open a pdf file. I am using a Mac with MacOS Big Sur 11.3.1.

Hi Silviu

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. As described, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is closing in about 20 seconds after you open a pdf file.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.07.20096 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network drive, please download it to your computer first and then try to open it and check.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

Also you may try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the Root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Also please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-mac.html

Regards

Amal

I think it was something about my esign token, because I install in on a older version of macOS and meanwhile I ve made the update to the last macOS.
