Adobe reader crashes when attempting to close minimised commented PDF from taskbar

We have found a suspected bug in adobe reader that occurs for our users when multiple pdfs have been loaded, and one has been edited (eg add some comments) and then if you attempt to close that commented pdf via the taskbar (selecting it and pressing x to close) adobe reader totally freezes and you have to crash out of the application to resolve, thus losing comments on that file you closed.

Ive noticed that it obviously tries to ask if you want to save as it freezes but as the application is locked I can't do anything but end the process.

Has anyone else experienced this, and (ideally) have a fix? I've seen lots of posts about similiar issues that people try to fix with thumbnail changes etc, but they havent worked here.

What is your OS and version, and what is the Acrobat and version?

I will move this to the Acrobat Reader forum.

WIndows 10, adobe reader version is 23.006.20320. We seem to have resolved this issue by deleting the regsitry settings for the application for the user (IE factory reset). Now it isnt crashing anymore in that way.
