Adobe’s product icon image for Acrobat Reader DC running on Win 10, ver 21H1 just recently changed from their iconic image to something that resembles a “generic-looking” icon as a document page that has a red band across it saying “PDF”.

No issues appear when opening and viewing saved documents. System parameters indicate Installed Acrobat Version is 21.20099.45479 including five plug-ins installed on 10/5/2021. No updates are available.

The attached image shows the changed look of the product icon. No recent Windows Update had been installed recently. Curious as to the reason why the icon all of a sudden looks different

rarely ever use the dreaded Edge browser. It decided it has complete autonomy to steal all .pdf's so that all docs open with Edge. Changed the setting back. MS should give users the choice to uninstall Edge
