Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the Acrobat Reader DC is freezing when you try to add text to the PDF file.
Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer first and try again.
A new release of Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC application is now available version 21.007.20091. Please try to update the application from the help menu > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that helps.
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there.
Regards
Amal

Hello!
We have updated Adobe Reader to the latest version. The problem with performance and periodic freezes remained.
We have tried all the recommendations that you suggested, or they are not applicable to our structure. Are there any other possible ways to speed up the work of Adobe Reader?

And also please answer.
What is the officially supported version of Adobe Reader for Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2019?

Hi there
We are sorry to hear that. Would you mind sharing the logs from the affected machine as described in the help page https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html
Download the tool, run it, reproduce the issue, and save the logs. Share the logs with us either by uploading them to the Document Cloud Storage: https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/ and share the link with us. Or attach it to the thread.
Regards
Amal
