Hello,
We have many computers with different versions of windows that are opening up any pdf file very slow. Below is the most common computer setup we have.
Windows 10 (64-bit) Version 1903/1809
Adobe Reader Version 19.012.20035
Laptop models are different, but almost all of our machines are experiencing the issue. The closest thing to a solution I have is uninstall Reader, run the clean up tool and reinstall it. This has provided a temporary solution, but the problem always comes back. On your website you have version 19.012.20034 so I'm not sure if the latest version was taken away for a common issue or what. Is there a fix to this issue?
Thanks

Where are the files you are opening located? On the local machine, on the internet, on a company run server on a local network? Look at the temporary items folder. See what happens if you manually delete the temp files. How much of your hard drive is free?

The files that have issues are local or a network drive. They have problems in both locations. I've cleared the temp items before and it hasn't actually solved the issue. Maybe made it a little faster, but still around 20-30 seconds before the file opens. Most machines have at least 30-40Gb free.

Disabling protected mode at startup does help, but that doesn't seem like a permanent fix.

Hi Matthews,
Acrobat and Reader official update (19.012.20036) is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates. Or you may refer to the release notes and install the patch directly: DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products
Let us know if it still doesn't help with latest patch.
Thanks,
Akanchha
