Application Rendering Issues

Hi

A number of users in our company are having issues with the Adobe Reader DC application not rendering correctly.  To be specific, it's the application itself, not the content within any document.

After using the software for a bit, all of the toolbars and menu items along the top disappear and are instead replaced with a white banner along the top of the application.  If you were to click anywhere along the white panel it brings you to the application behind it.  The application still seems to be working OK otherwise and if you had a PDF open you could still scroll up and down through it, just no access to the menus.  The white section isn't consistently at the top, sometimes appears at the bottom instead.

I've added a screenshot below which hopefully helps explain things a little better.

We've noticed that something similar also happens to our users using Chrome so the issue may well not be isolated to Adobe Reader.

Any assistance is much appreciated.

Thanks

David

Hey David,

We apologize for the delay in response to your query.

Looking at the screenshot shared above, it seems to be an issue with either the application version you are using or the system configuration.

We've noticed that something similar also happens to our users using Chrome so the issue may well not be isolated to Adobe Reader.

Since it has been observed with the chrome as well, not sure what would have caused the problem here. But for Adobe Reader we would suggest you to check couple of things and see if that helps-

  • Update drivers: As number of users getting impacted, then you may check whether these systems drivers are required an update.
  • Check the version of Adobe Reader installed, update it to the most latest one. Open Adobe Reader>Help>Check for update

Or refer to the release notes: DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Akanchha
